SISCA WINS ROOKIE-OF-THE-YEAR
The Markham Waxers are proud to announce that the OPJHL Central Division Rooke-of-the-Year has been awarded to Daniel Sisca. The league award was voted on by the Central Division General Managers at a meeting on February 10, 1999.

The 15-year-old left-shot centreman has taken the league by storm this season amassing 20 goals and 58 points playing in all 51 games. Daniel was one of only two players this season to suit up for each and every game the Waxers played. His puckhandling skill and playmaking ability has allowed Danny to continue his offensive prowess at the Junior level this season as he scored 210 points as a Minor Bantam last year.

Daniel's strong play had drawn the attention of many scouts from both the OHL and NCAA. His future is extremely bright and his play in the 98-99 season certainly shows that Daniel Sisca is a future superstar in whichever route he takes.
