MARKHAM WAXERS "WALL
OF FAME" GETS GREEN LIGHT Markham Town Council approved the proposal put forth by Mr. Bremner on behalf of the Markham Waxers. It is expected that construction of the display will be completed sometime near the end of February. The Wall of Fame will be dedicated to all of the current, former and future Markham Waxer players. In addition volunteers, past executive and ownership will also be honoured. The one-of-a-kind display will be comprised of eight panels seven feet high and four feet wide and will be protected with lexon. A special section will be devoted to Markham Minor Hockey. This will include the Tony Roman Tournament executive and contacts and all current executive of the Markham and Unionville Minor Hockey Associations. The Markham Waxers and Mr. Bremner wish to thank the Markham Town Council for their tremendous support over the years. Since the early nineteen hundreds hockey has been a family and community event in Markham. The Wall of Fame is a fitting tribute to the young people who have moved from the Waxers to become excellent and respected citizens not just in Markham, as many have seen their way of life take them to other communities where they have become ambassadors for the town of Markham.
