WAXERS' PRE-SEASON GETS UNDERWAY AUGUST 28, 1998
The Markham Waxers begin their pre-season schedule on the road against the Aurora Tigers.

In a pair of home and away series, it all starts with a trip down memory lane as the Waxers invade Aurora (both Head Coach Russ Herrington and GM Larry Herrington worked with current Tiger Head Coach Brad Selwood while they were with the Thornhill franchise).

Then prior to the regular season they do the same again with long-time rivals the Wexford Raiders, the champions from the Metro League last season.

The exhibition matches promise to be good tests for all teams concerned.
