Scott Gray
faced 34 shots to record the shutout in a game which featured several
fights in the third period when the score became academic.
"I think our guys were ready to play," said Waxers head
coach Russ Herrington.
"When you get seven guys scoring that shows our depth
and we got good goaltending and a commitment to playing defence all night
where we held (Thornhill) to just a few good quality scoring chances."
After yesterdayıs second game, the series returns to
the Thornhill Community Centre tonight at 7:30 p.m.
