Using what had proven as the perfect formula for victory (scoring first..never trailing..add an empty netter) the Waxers stayed alive in their semi-final series with Wexford by handing the Raiders a 4-2 defeat on Waxer ice in game 4.  In a game very much similar to the previous three, only with the roles reversed, the Waxers lead 3-1 going in to the third period and held off a comeback attempt before icing the victory with a last minute empty net goal.

Markham scored the only goal of the first period when Josh Jacobs won an offensive zone faceoff cleanly back to Stephen Kapolnas.  His blast from the point made it 1-0 after just 5:01 had been played.

Wexford would tie the score in the second period, just 1:57 in to the frame, just as a Markham penalty had expired.  It took less than three minutes for the Waxers to regain the lead however, as Derrell Levy picked up an end zone pass from Jacobs, and danced his way in to the Wexford end.  After his initial shot was stopped, Shareef Labreche, in an ode to the opening of Spring Training, batted the puck out of mid-air to score his first of the playoffs.  James Gaulrapp would make it 3-1, with 6:47 left in the period, in a deja vu type goal, mimicking a goal he scored in game 2 of the series.  This time, Chris Korte batted down a clearing attempt and  Joel Gaulrapp corralled the puck and sent it down from the blueline to James all alone in front for the nifty deke.

Wexford would grab a powerplay goal with 6:48 left in regulation and poured it on after that.  Jeff Fischer, as he had all night, stood tall in the net and did not allow the equalizer setting up the opportunity for the empty net goal.  Coming off a defensive end faceoff won by David Kostuch, James Gaulrapp cleared the puck and brother Joel won the race, skating it end untouched for his 7th of the postseason.
