Stouffville got on the board first approximately 8 minutes in to the game before Molnar would even the score 1:13 later.  Right off a defensive zone faceoff, Molnar  and David Kostuch were sprung on a 2-on-1 rush thanks to a nifty pass from Fackey.  Using Kostuch as a decoy, Molnar ripped a high wrist shot over the goalie's shoulder to make it 1-1.  Fackey would then convert on a powerplay some four minutes later to give the Waxers the lead for good.  Camped out in front, Fackey slammed home a Riley Hill goalmouth pass to finish off a play started by Josh Jacobs.  James Gaulrapp upped the lead to 3-1, scoring in the final seconds of the first period after some strong cycling by Brandon Rubeo and Joel Gaulrapp with a wrist shot to the top corner.

Markham would extend the lead to 5-1 midway through the second period with two goals 1:00 apart by Jonas Schell and Joel Gaulrapp.  On Schell's goal, Derrell Levy was able to force the Stouffvile goalie to cough up the puck on the forecheck and Schell would finish off a Shareef Labreche feed for his second of the year.  On Gaulrapp's goal,  Joel would finish off a play started by James and then created by Rubeo who would win a race to a loose puck and center it to Gaulrapp who eventually tapped the puck between his legs in to the net.  Stouffville would get one back before the period ended to make it 5-2 heading to the final period.

Markham again struck first in the third when Jacobs would convert a centering pass from Hill for his first of the year, also assisted by Yiorgo Chroistodoulou. Stouffville made it 6-3 and then Rubeo would bank one in  the net from below the goal line to make it 7-3 (assisted by the Gaulrapps) before Stouffville added one more to make the final 7-4.  Trevor O'Neill earned his second straight win stopping 32 shots along the way.
