The Waxer woes continue as they dropped their fourth straight decision, 6-2, to the Wexford Raiders in Scarborough Sunday night.

The Waxers trailed 1-0 and 2-0 after the first two periods respectively as netminder Jeremy Wenzel turned aside 30 of 32 shots he faced in the first forty minutes.

In the third period with the Waxers enjoying a powerplay to start the frame, Daniel Beaudoin slapped one through the Raiders' goalkeepers legs to put the Waxers on the board just 9 seconds after the faceoff. Greg Chambers and Jim Ulcar picked up assists. That goal put some spark into the Waxers and they had several good scoring opportunities shortly after but Wexford was able to restore their two goal margin just past the four minute mark. At the six minute mark Rob Mazzuca slid a backhander along the ice into the Raider cage to cut the deficit to one as Chambers and Mike Harding drew helpers. But then the roof caved in and the Raiders scored three times in 140 seconds midway through the period and it was lights out for the Waxers.

The Waxers now have the week to regroup and get healed before they faceoff against the St. Michael's Buzzers Friday night at Markham Centennial.
