The winning streak hits three as the Waxers completed the weekend with a 5-3 victory over the Pickering Panthers. The Waxers scored seven of the eight goals in the game as two of the three Panthers goals were directed in by Markham players' equipment.

After a sluggish first 30 minutes, the Waxers took complete control of the game and dominated.

Pickering scored first just ten minutes in on a powerplay to jump ahead 1-0. Chris Petracco then tied the score three minutes later as he completed a tic-tac-toe play with linemates David Colucci and Greg Chambers.

The second period saw the Panthers fall behind 2-1 on Chambers' powerplay goal, assisted by Jimmy Ball and Jim Ulcar. Pickering scored the next two to lead 3-2 after 40 minutes.

The Waxers came out flying in the third period scoring three unanswered goals to salt away the victory. Ball scored the tying goal just over two minutes in as he slapped home a bullet after a faceoff won by Joel Kitchen and a feed by Robbie Burrows. Then 33 seconds later Burrows tipped home a Chambers point shot for the game winner, assisted by Ball. Colucci iced the game with 31 seconds remaining on an empty net goal assisted by Ball.

The win moves the Waxers to 7-4-1-1 on the season and gave newcomer Jeremy Wenzel his third victory in the past four days since joining the squad last week.
