The Waxers continued their roll through the month of October by recording a 5-2 win over Durham. The game started off in the right fashion as before the first change the Waxers led 2-0.

Rob Mazzuca scored his first of two on the night in a franchise record 6 seconds from the start of the game on a nice feed from Jason Goldenberg. Then, 20 seconds later, Goldenberg add his first of the year from Bryan Lachapelle.

That good start turned into a long pause as the Huskies scored once in the first and then tied it at 2-2 in the second period before Lachapelle scored from Daniel Sisca with just under two minutes left in the period.

The third period saw strong penalty killing by the Waxers before Ian Malcolm, from Dan Britt and Jim Ulcar and Mazzuca's second goal of the game from Lachapelle and Goldenberg rounded out the scoring.

Mike Lee played a strong game in net stopping 28 shots along the way for his 3rd win of the season.

The victory lifts the Waxers record to 7-3-1 on the season as they now have a few days to prepare to face the currently undefeated Newmarket Hurricanes in Newmarket on Thursday night followed by a rematch with the Huskies at Centennial Arena on Friday night (October 16).
