WAXERS MAKE A BIG MOVE TO ACQUIRE A NETMINDER WITH A WINNING HISTORY 
The Markham Waxers are excited to announce that Rick Marnon has been acquired from the Bowmanville Eagles. He traveled to Scarborough and played against the Raiders, making his debut in the blue and white.

Rick is a highly-touted netminder and joins the Waxers with a solid track record dating back to his high school days when he was a standout with Detroit Catholic College and led them to championships there.

Last year, Rick joined the Iron Range Yellowjackets, a startup Jr. B club in the Minnesota Junior League and he took his expansion club to a league championship title.

A 1980-born netminder, he's in his final year of junior eligibility, Rick's already attracted lots of attention from NCAA schools.

This year he was the number one keeper with the Eagles and despite being with a seventh-place club, he managed to earn the respect of many in the division as the best puck stopper in the East.

Now he's in the South and the Waxers are confident that he won't be long establishing himself as the best netminder in our division.
